These terms govern access to and use of the VISIT-BJ website and application. By using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
1. Purpose of the service
VISIT-BJ enables users to publish and browse listings, contact sellers and request purchases, rentals, bookings or services. Unless expressly stated, VISIT-BJ acts as an intermediary rather than the seller of listed goods. Purchases are also subject to the General Terms of Sale.
2. Accounts and capacity
Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must have the legal capacity to enter a transaction or act with valid authorisation. Protect your credentials and codes, do not share account access and report unauthorised use.
3. Listings and conduct
Publish only lawful, accurate listings for which you hold the necessary rights. Fraudulent listings, counterfeits, fake job offers, misleading content, harassment and unauthorised access attempts are prohibited. Sellers and recruiters must comply with obligations applicable to their activities.
4. Content and intellectual property
You retain rights to content you publish. You authorise VISIT-BJ to host and display it as needed to operate the service and present your listings. You must hold the necessary rights to images and text you use. VISIT-BJ’s brand, interface and proprietary materials may not be used without permission, except as permitted by law.
5. Transactions and precautions
Check descriptions, prices, identities and relevant documents before committing. Do not share confidential codes with sellers or third parties. Estimates and general information are not substitutes for professional checks, particularly for property or vehicles.
6. Seller fees
Listing maintenance costs 5,000 BIF per seller account every 30 days, not per item. If payment is overdue, listings may be temporarily hidden or suspended; eligible listings may be restored after payment is confirmed. This fee supports platform maintenance, security, support and improvements. Optional advertising services are subject to prices disclosed before subscription.
7. Moderation and availability
VISIT-BJ may remove a listing or restrict an account for breaches of these terms, suspected fraud or legal requirements. You may contact VISIT-BJ to request a review. Maintenance or incidents may interrupt the service; continuous availability is not guaranteed.
8. Liability and statutory rights
Each user remains responsible for their statements, listings and commitments. VISIT-BJ does not guarantee the accuracy of every listing or a third party’s performance. Nothing excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be limited.
9. Data, external links and changes
Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Linked external services apply their own terms. Updates to these terms are published with their date and do not retroactively change commitments already made. Any legally required notifications continue to apply.
10. Applicable law and complaints
Rules applicable in Burundi apply, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules relevant to your circumstances. For complaints, consult the Dispute Resolution Policy. No mandatory legal remedy is excluded.
